James "Crow" Maxson

James F. "Crow"  Maxson, 81 of Elizabeth Township, PA, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born June 6, 1942 in Charleroi, PA, son of Bryl F Maxson  and Betty Jane Rhodes Maxson .

Jim was a US Air Force veteran of Vietnam, 50 year member of Brightwell-Daughtery American Legion Post 484 of Fayette City, Naomi Athletic Club, Belle Vernon Moose and Jefferson Estates Golf League.  He was retired from Wheeling-Pitt Steel Allenport Plant and the Perry Auto Auction. 

He is survived by his wife, Jill Ann Matthews Maxson, daughter, Jamie Hodge and husband Timothy of Monongahela, son, Jay Maxson and wife Rachel of Elizabeth, brother, Bryl "Sonny" Maxson and wife Edna Mae of Fayette City, grandson, Brandon Hodge, granddaughter, Emily Hodge, granddaughter, Gabby Maxson, granddaughter, Nora Maxson, aunt, Ethel Mae Maxen, sister & brother in law, Margie & Dave Giannini, and several nephews.  Also survived by Gary & Grant "His Boys".

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Jack.
