Samuel R Russell, 74 of Rostraver Twp.,Belle Vernon, PA, passed away, Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield, OH.

He was born February 23, 1943 in  Lowber, Jefferson Twp., Fayette Co., PA, son of James Russell  and Blanche Robinson Russell.

Sam was a member of the Salem Church and was self employed with his Trucking business.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Miller Russell; son, Maurice Glenn Russell of Buena Vista, Pa.; sister, Judy Gellar of Uniontown , granddaughter, Melinda Russell, grandson, Travis Russell, grandson, Austin Russell, grandson, Brandon Greco, granddaughter, Samantha Greco, grandson, Cody Russell and great-granddaughter, Rylee Wyne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Valerie Elaine Greco and Son Keaven David Russell.

Family and Friends will be received Friday, October 13, 2017from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Darrel Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.
