Tod K. Marshall, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 after a year long valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  Tod was born on March 19, 1952 in Fayette City, PA to Neil and Sarah Hamilton Marshall.  He grew up farming, active in Boy Scouts, hunting, and fishing.  He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Hornet which recovered the Apollo 12 astronauts.  He then went on to serve his country on the USS Hunterdon County LST838 in Vietnam.  He was a millwright at USX, Irvin Works for 25 years.  He belonged to the National Rifle Association and the Safari Club International.  He attended Little Redstone United Methodist Church.  Tod was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan.  He built his own log cabin and cut the firewood to heat it.  He loved to hunt and fish his entire life.  He and his wife, Karen, fished many derbies on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on their boat, Reel Lucky, winning many of them.  After retirement, he worked in his wood shop and built PA long rifle flintlock guns from “lock, stock, and barrel” to the engraving and inlays on the stocks.  Tod and his wife, Karen traveled many places including Alaska, Nova Scotia, Grand Canyon, Quebec, Bahamas, and many more.  They truly enjoyed being with each other and the beautiful outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents (Neil and Sarah) and his Sister, Saundra Danko.  Tod is survived by his wife, best friend, fishing partner, and hunting partner of 43 years, Karen Beveridge Marshall.  Also, surviving are:  Brother Jack Marshall and wife Cathy of Coudersport, PA; Sister Susan Snyder and husband Donald of Addison, PA; and Brother-in-law Merle Beveridge and wife Bonnie of Grove City, PA.  Surviving also are many caring nieces and nephews who truly loved their Uncle Tod; many caring cousins, and numerous caring friends and family from home, Church, and camping over the years; and many wonderful folks that have helped over the past year in Tod’s illness.
