Agnes "Babe" (Stihel) Atkinson

Agnes M. "Babe" Atkinson, 74 of Ligonier, formerly of Belle Vernon, Pa passed away, Tuesday, January 28, 2020in  Ligonier Gardens Personal Care Home.

She was born May 9, 1945 in Fayette City, PA, daughter of George Stihel  and Agnes Rodgers Stihel.

She is survived by two sons, Norman E. Atkinson III and wife Amanda of Greensburg, Pa., Eric Atkinson and wife Anna of Annaopolis, MD; three grandchildren Grace, Faith and Hope Atkinson; two brothers, George Stihel, Jr. of Tennessee and Leonard Stihel of Lowber, Fayette City, Pa.; two sisters, Vernoica Payne of Arizona and  Rose Mary Owsold of Virginia;.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman E Atkinson, Jr on 3/21/1996 and one sister, Valeria Wilson.

Friends will be received Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, PA. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Blessing Service will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Fr. Michael Crookston officiating.

Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
