Anthony P. (Tony) Blatnik, 86 of Fayette City, PA, passed away Saturday, Jan 3, 2015 in Kane Regional Center, Scott Twp., Pa..

He was born April 26, 1928 in Fayette City, PA, son of the late Anton Blatnik and the late Anna Sladich Blatnik. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, Pa. and worked at the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Monessen, Pa. He was retired from AT & T and served his country in the US Army. Tony volunteered at the former Community Ambulance Service in Washington Twp.

He is survived by his brother, Matthew George Blatnik and wife Dolores of Scott Twp., Pa and his sister, Frances Winn of Fresno, CA. Also survived by Barbara Lipp of Reynoldsburg, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and John Blatnik, and a sister, Josephine Blatnik.

Friends will be received Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621,www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Blessing service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 in the St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon with Msgr. Roger A Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA. Parish Rosary service will be held Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home
