Betty J (Hela) Acklin

Betty J.  Acklin, 85 of Newell, PA, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 in WVU, Uniontown Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1937 in Fayette City, PA, daughter of George Hela  and Elizabeth Brody Hela.

She was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon, Pa.

 She is survived by her children, son, Theodore E Acklin, Jr. and wife Rochelle of Newell, daughter, Sheryl Kaniski of Monessen, son, Gregory Acklin and wife Vicki of Rufsdale;  sister, Margaret Buchina of Jefferson Twp.; grandson, Nicholas Kaniski, granddaughter, Dina Acklin and granddaughter, Catherine Kaniski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Theodore E Acklin, Sr.; three brothers George Hela, John G. Hela and Stephen M. Hela.

Friends will be received Monday, April 3, 2023, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the at the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City, PA. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Private funeral services will be held for the family and  interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
