Byrl "Sonny" Maxson, Jr.

Byrl "Sonny"  Maxson, Jr., 82 of Brownstown, Fayette CIty, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Mt. Macrina Manor surrounded by his family.

He was born June 21, 1943 in Charleroi, PA, son of Byrl F Maxson, Sr.  and Betty Jane Rhodes Maxson.

He was a member of the Fayette City Alliance Church and retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh steel, Allenport plant.
 
he is survived by two sons, Craig Mason and wife Leslie of Pricedale and Chris Maxson of Fayette City, grandchildren, Zachary & Rachel Maxson, Gavin Maxson and Lily Maxson; great granddaughter, Fiona Maxson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Edna Mae Gilbert Maxson and brother James Maxson..

Private arrangements were entrusted to the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., Fayette City, Pa.
