Catherine Marie (K.K.) Gallo

Catherine Marie (K.K.)  Gallo,  85 of Newell, PA, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at her home in Newell, Pa.

She was born April 17, 1931 in Newell, PA, daughter of the late Ralph Gallo  and Sarah (Sally) McCune Gallo.  
Catherine was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis and the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Newell.  She was a beloved life long resident of Newell and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.  Catherine retired from the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad in Pittsburgh, Pa.  

She will be sadly missed by her sister Anna Mae Gallo, with whom she resided, of Newell; brother Alexander Gallo of Tyler, TX.; neice Jean Ann Gallo of Belle Vernon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents Catherine was preceded in death by six brothers, Peter, Dominick, John, Ralph (Shay), Anthony (Ducky), and Joseph (JoJo) Gallo; two sisters Caroline Massari and Carmella Masterann.

Family and Friends will be received Monday, January 23, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA, 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Blessing Service will be held  Tuesday January 24 at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in the  Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, Pa. with  Rev. Fr. Timothy J. Kruthaupt as celebrant.  Entombment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
