Doreen E (Murray) Matty

Doreen E Matty, 70 of Jefferson Twp., Fayette City, PA, passed away  Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her residence.

She was born July 13, 1946 in Brownsville, PA, daughter of  GeorgeWillis Murray and Geraldine Hickman Murray.  Doreen grew up in Newell and still spent a lot of time in the community.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa., Sokol Club in Perryopolis and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Newell Santa Barbara Club.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Matty, Jr.; three sons, Frank Kayla and wife Cathy of Fairchance, Pa.,  John E. Matty, III and wife Lisa of Newell, Pa. and David Matty and fiance Rebecca Rubish of Perryopolis, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Frank Jared Kayla, Kayleen Mehalic,  Karli Stiffler, Frank Willis Kayla, Karissa Kayla, Janelle Matty and Samantha Matty; 6 great grandchildren Also survived by Lulu,Woody and Cello.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Frank Richard Kayla; sister, Letishia Carroll and niece, Letishia Carroll.

Family and Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday,  November 15 & 16 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm  in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA.724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com.  Blessing Services will be held Thursday at 12:30 pm in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 1:00 pm in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
