Doris N (Crilley) Weightman

Doris N Weightman, age 94, resident of Fayette City, departed to be with the Lord on October 14, 2016. Doris was born October 23, 1921, daughter of the late Albert and Sadie (Hayes) Crilley of Smithton, PA. Prior to raising a family, Doris owned and operated a beauty salon and gas station in Smithton. She married Fred C Weightman of Fayette City where they made their home. She was an active member of the Fayette City United Methodist Church; a member of the Yough-A-Mon Campers Club; a scout leader for Boy Scouts of America; a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Fayette City; and a ten year volunteer of the Mon Valley Hospital Auxiliary.
Doris is survived by two sons, David (MaryAnne) Weightman of Downingtown, PA and Perry (Maria) Weightman of Belle Vernon; grandchildren Emily (James) Snyder, Susan (Steve) Mousley, William (James )Weightman, Fredrick Weightman, Matt (Nicole) Weightman, and Holly Weightman; great-grandchildren Jimmy, Nick, and Thomas Snyder, Ryan and Keira Mousley, and Theo, Natalie, and Grace Weightman; nieces and nephews Dennis (Liz) Hixson, Becky (Bill) Sapkiewcz, Nancy (Neil) Kilbane, Jan, Jill and Jody Crilley, and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Jean; her siblings Agnes (Richard) Hixson, Ray (Helen) Crilley, and Harry Crilley; nephew Byron Weightman, niece Janice Miller, and dear friend Benny Sarra.
A special thank you to the staff of Residence at Hilltop for their loving kindness during her long illness.
Friends and family will be received at a memorial service celebrating Doris's life at the Fayette City United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 3pm.
