Edna Mae Gilbert Maxson, 79 of Fayette City, PA, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025 in Jefferson Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born May 1, 1946 in Brownstown, Washington Twp., PA, daughter of Charles Gilbert and Isabella Osborne Gilbert.
She was a lifelong member of the Fayette City Alliance Church, and retired from Corning Glass after 33years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her church family and grandchildren. She loved visiting craft shows with friends in search of the perfect gift or holiday decoration. She was a constant and caring companion to her husband Sonny, and they looked forward to the summer and fall days spent with loved ones at the Mahaffey Camp.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bryl "Sonny" Maxson, son, Craig Maxson (Leslie), son, Chris Maxson, sister, Agnes Stasko (Andrew), sister, Charlene Duvall (Bob), grandson, Zachary Maxson (Rachael), grandson, Gavin Maxson, granddaughter, Lily Maxson, great-granddaughter, Fiona Maxson. Also survived by beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private services were held for the family.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., Fayette City, Pa.
