Edward A. Pauley, 82 of Jefferson Twp., Perryopolis, PA, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the home of his daughter Michelle in Wellington, Fl., surrounded by his family..
He was born December 10, 1930 in Portage, PA, son of the late George Pauley and the late Rose Schnider Pauley. Ed was a US Army veteran of the Korean War having served with the Army Security Agency and a member of Brightwell-Daughtery American Legion Post #484 of Fayette City. Ed retired from the Pennsylvania State Police , was a member of FOP Lodge # 47, Washington, Pa.; Past Master of the former Gummert Lodge # 252 F & AM in Fayette City and current member of Brownsville Lodge # 60 F & AM and a member of the Perryopolis Senior Travel Club. He was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church having served on Church council for many years.
He is survived by his wife Joanna I. Jurban Pauley, daughter, Michelle Oldham and husband Thomas of Wellington, Fl., son, Edward J Pauley of Centreville, VA;, brother, Harry Pauley and wife Eve of Newburg, Pa, two granddaughters, Amanda and Ashley Oldham.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellsworth and George Pauley; two sisters, Rosella Poorman and Caroline Beba.
Friends will be received Thursday & Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA., 724-326-5621,www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Lynnwood Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jack Hernstrom officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest lawn Cemetery, Johnstown, Pa. FOP Lodge # 47 will conduct services Thursday at 7:00 pm and Brownsville Lodge # 60 will conduct services Thursday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lynnwood Lutheran Church, 900 Washington Ave., Belle Vernon, Pa. 15012
