Ella Marie (Auther) Davis

Ella Marie Davis, 87, of Fayette City, PA, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Stockdale, PA, on April 16, 1938, Ella was the daughter of the late Dell Auther and Marion Astle. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brother, Kenneth Rickey Auther.

Ella had a vibrant spirit and a zest for life. She treasured the simple joys—spending time with her family, playing cards with her club, shopping, and visiting local restaurants with dear friends. Her love for her grandchildren was deep and unconditional, and her eyes would light up every time her great-grandchildren were near.

Ella is survived by her two loving children, Cynthia Davis and Thomas Davis (Janet); seven grandchildren: Thomas K. Davis (Jennifer), Mary E. Taylor (Lee), Michael A. Davis (Hannah), Nicole J. Davis (Meranda), Dylan T. Davis (Oxana), Michelle Nelson, and Joshua Steele (Jill); and nine great-grandchildren: Zoey Dunham, Caleb Day, Olivia Steele, Oliver Taylor, Bailey Davis, Henry Taylor, Sophia Davis, Brynn Davis, and Blake Davis. Ella was also blessed with two devoted caregivers and cherished friends, Jan Booth and Nadine Gantner, who she considered part of her family. Their friendship, support, and love brought her comfort and joy in her later years.

Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be missed beyond measure but remembered always. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fayette City VFC, P.O.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, Pa. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Boring officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, Pa.
