Frank (Porky) Pidanich, 87, of Newell, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 in UMPC Presbyterian Hospital, after a brief illness.

Frank was born in Newell, Pa., where he lived most of his life. He was the son of the late George Pidanich and Anna Bevlovich Pidanich. He was a loving husband and was predeceeased by his beloved wife, Eleanor Bartolomucci Pidanich as well as his brothers George Pidanich and John Pidanich and sisters Anna Pidanich George, Tressa Pidanich Hoover, Irene Pidanich, Esther Pidanich Beachum, Mary Pidanich Kuhn, Helen Pidanich, Elizabeth Pidanich and Irene Pidanich.

Frank served in the US Navy after the Korean Conflict and was a draftsman by trade. He was a founding member of the Newell Municipal Authority and a past member of the Newell Volunteer Fire Co. and the Santa Barbara social club.

He is survived by his children Sandra Pidanich Fordian, Frank Pidanich and wife Patricia Bryson, Donald Pidanich and wife Donna Skufca; sisters Eleanor Pidanich Burckic and Julia Pidanich Henderson; grandchildren Jennifer Fordian, Frank Pidanich II and Becky Fordian Barrett; great-grandchildren, Adam, Alex and Alaina Barrett.

 

Respectfully following his expressed wishes, there will be no public viewing entombment will take place in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
