Harry G Furlong, 88 of Bentleyville, PA, danced into eternal rest, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the Washington Co. Health Center. 

He was born March 13, 1928 in California, PA, son of Harry L Furlong and Beulah Reichard Furlong. Harry was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he served as barber. He was a member of the Brownsville American Legion, Hopwood Amvets Post# 103, and the Centerville Sportsmen's Club. Harry was a Barber by trade and worked for Pages in Monessen and McGraw Edison in Canonsburg. He loved to dance and listen to music. Harry enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping in his tent every chance he had. Harry lived in Belle Vernon, Peters Twp and Bentleyville during his lifetime. Everyone he meet he called them his good friend. 

Surviving to continue his ambitions are his daughter, Susan Furlong Boothe of Flagstaff, AZ., son Ken Furlong and wife Sharon of Newell, Pa.; three grandchildren, grandson, Travis Boothe, granddaughter, Kenzie Furlong Lawson and husband Steve and grandson, Shane Furlong; 2 great-grandchildren; two sisters Mabel Popp and husband Ray and Doris Moon. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; First wife Freda Mae Lehr Furlong in 1975 and second wife Edna Gorforth Furlong in 2001.

 Family and Friends will be received Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Interment will take place at a later date for the family.
