JoAnn (Astle) Neff

JoAnn Astle Neff, 74 of Gillespie, Fayette City, PA, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. JoAnn lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, February 20, 2016.

She was born March 3, 1941 in Fayette City, the daughter of the late John W Astle Sr. and the late Gladys Hall Astle. JoAnn was a caring woman with a heart of gold who cherished family gatherings, her beloved dogs, cooking and sitting on her porch enjoying a good cup of coffee.

She will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered by her husband of Fifty-six years, William H. Neff, Sr; three daughters; Sheryl Clark and husband Raymond, Lisa Hazelbaker and Janice Fauvie and husband Michael, Sr.; eight grandchildren, Ginger and Billy Wilson, Billy Ray Clark (Shannyn Dusi), Sarah Clark, Krystle Hazelbaker (Zachary Wolfe), Stephanie and Taylor Atkinson, Michael Fauvie, Jr, Madison Fauvie and William Neff III; one great-granddaughter Evalyn Atkinson; four sisters, Kay Brinkman, Karen Evans and husband Ron, Kathy Sweitzer and husband Tim, Darla Sobek and husband Carl,; two brothers John Astle, Jr and wife Linda and James Astle. JoAnn was loved and admired by her extended family of many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, William H Neff, Jr.

Family and Friends will be received Monday, February 22, 2016 from 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com Blessing Service will be held Wednesday February 24, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Fr. John Sedlak officiating.Interment will follow in the Little Redstone Methodist Cemetery, Fayette City, PA.
