John Hela, Jr.

John  Hela, Jr., 73 of Jefferson Twp., Perryopolis, PA, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Hillside Manor Personal Care Home, with his sister at his side.

He was born October 22, 1950 in Fayette City, PA, son of John Hela Sr. and Julia Lucas Hela.

He was a member of Holy resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon.  John  was a  veteran of the US Army during Vietnam.
He was a member of the American Slovanic Citizens Club of Fayette City, Star Junction Fish and Game club and was retired from US Steel Clairton works.

He is survived by his sister, Marcia Hela of Mt. Pleasant and numerous cousins..

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 3 to 8pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City, PA.www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10:00 am with Fr. Stephen Gresh officiating.

Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA 15012
