John Jack McGowan

John Jack McGowan, 75 of Jefferson Twp.,Fayette City, PA, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 8, 1939 in Upper Middletown,, PA, son of the lat Jack McGowan and Nellie Wic McGowan. Jack was retired from US Steel Irvin Works and was a veteran of the US Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Kirkpatrick McGowan; daughter, Lori Marciak Friday and fiance Bill Hornyak of Nashville, TN., daughter, Terri Marciak of Monessen, son, Patrick T McGowan and wife Kelly Rae of Fayette City, daughter, Kelly Ann McGowan of Monessen; brother, Thomas McGowan of Newell; sister, Delores McGowan of Fayette City; four grandchildren, Peter Follain, Jr., Michael Follain, Sarah McGowan and Emily McGowan; one great-grandson, Peter Follain, III.

In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by his son, John F McGowan in 1987.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Michael Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Fayette City, PA.
