Leonard E. Vargo, 66 of Markleysburg, PA, formerly of Fayette City,Pa., passed away, Friday, March 15, 2013 in South Fayette Nursing Center, Markleysburg,Pa.
He was born September 2, 1946 in Fayette City, PA, son of the late Andrew Vargo Sr. and Anna Repan Vargo. Leonard was Catholic by faith. Leonard worked at US Steel Irvin works at one time.
He is survived by three sisters, Agnes Strychalski of Belle Vernon, Dolores Yelich of West Newton and Dorothy Wetzel of Belle Vernon; one brother, Joseph Vargo of Fayette City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Herbert, Andrew Jr., George, Thomas and Edward Vargo; one sister, Mary Karelli.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2 - 4 & 6- 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, PA.724-326-5621,www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 8:00 pm in the funeral home with Msqr. Roger A. Statnick officiating.
