Olive Pearl (McClelland) Shaffer

Olive Pearl McClelland Shaffer, 90 of Bitner, Franklin Twp, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 25, 1925 in Uledi, PA, daughter of the late Art McClelland and Ida Belle Stewart McClelland. Olive loved to cook and take care of her home.

She is Survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Frank Shaffer; three children, daughter, Betty Zadrozny of Belle Vernon, son, Frank Shaffer, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Florence, SC., son, Jeffrey Shaffer and wife Barbara of Dunbar; son-in-law, Tom Smith of Bittner; brother, Ken McClelland of Dawson and sister, Della Silbaugh of Mentor, OH.; seven grandchildren Mike Zadrozny, John Hoye, Jeffrey Shaffer, Jr., Matthew Shaffer, Desire Shaffer, Nicole Shaffer and Devon Shaffer. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by father, Art McClelland, mother, Ida Belle Stewart McClelland, daughter, Karen Shaffer Hoye Smith, son-in-law, Frank "Zeke" Zadrozny.

Family and Friends will be received Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
