Richard L Dando, 81 of Jefferson Township, Fayette City, PA, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 in Ruby Medical Center, Morgantown, WV., surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 8, 1942 in Newell, Pa, son of Carl F Dando Sr. and Myrtle J. Foster Dando.  

He was a member of Newell United Methodist Church and the Jefferson LaFayette Hunting Club.  He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lisa Jane Pollock, daughter, Chasity Marie Girvin and husband Jody, daughter, Christy Dawn Broadwater and Travis Robertson; grandchildren, Emily Ann Pollock Holp and husband Ron, Jacob Michael Girvin and wife Devan Marie, Timothy Brian Broadwater, Nicolena Marie Girvin and Fiancé, Avery Matthews, Tyler Lee Girvin, Briana Dawn Broadwater, Joshua Thomas Girvin & Maura Elizabeth, Adam Robert Pollock, Andrew Richard Pollock, Wyatt Marshall Broadwater and Rylee Robertson; great grandchildren, Hayden Rae Holp, Charles Robert Holp, Logan Elizabeth Girvin and Taylor James Girvin; sister Shirley Tonarelli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eleanor "Cookie" Dando, three brothers Jack, William and Carl, Jr and one sister Nina Sobek..

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City, PA. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Additional viewing will take place Thursday from 9 am to 10 am in the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 11 am in the Newell United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles G. Jack officiating.
