Rita Mae Gilbert, 83 of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, PA, passed away Sunday. May 17, 2015 in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp.
She was born July 10, 1931 in Fayette CIty, Pa., daughter of the late Merle Farquhar and the late Margaret Moody Farquhar. Rita was a 20 year member of the Mon Valley CB Club.
She is survived by her brother, Merle D Farquhar, Jr., and wife Marge of Allenport, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles H Gilbert in 2012; son, John A Farquhar, and two sisters, Betty J Hamilton and Nancy Williamson.
Private Services and Interment were held Tuesday, May 18, 2015 in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA 15012. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, Pa. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com.
