Rosemary (Premoshis) Russell, of Fayette City, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly at home on June 19, 2015.
She was born February 29, 1928 in Mount Pleasant, Pa., and grew up in the area. She moved with her family to Fayette City in the 1940s where they ran a hardware store until the 1990s. She graduated from Marion High School in 1946.
She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Belle Vernon, Pa. She volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul in Monessen regularly and was an avid collector of many things including oriental art. Rosemary led an active social life, volunteering and attending local events, and was a regular at Gilmore's Auction for 45 years. She was an outstanding baker and cook and frequently threw parties for family and friends. She loved animals and always kept a cat or two. She was well traveled, and took frequent trips to the shore, as well as many domestic and international tours. Even at the age of 87, she maintained a lovely two-story antebellum home, cut her own grass, and helped decorate the homes of everyone she knew.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Loran Park Russell, her brothers Robert and Jack, and her parents, Margaret and Robert. She is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth (Ezzie), Annette, and Rebecca; sisters-in-law Bernadette, Ruth, and Lorraine; brother-in-law Ross and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc., 334 Main St, Fayette City, Pa. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon at 10 a.m., with Msgr. Roger A Statnick as celebrant., followed by a celebration of a life well lived at St. Vincent De Paul, 1701 Grand Blvd, Monessen, PA 15062.

Members of St. Sebastian parish will recite the Rosary Tuesday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
