Russell G Peck

Russell G Peck, 69 of Brownstown, Fayette City, PA, passed away, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital.

He was born November 3, 1954 in Conneaut Lake, PA, son of Donald Peck  and Lorene Stewart Peck.

Russ was a member of Therapy Dogs International.  Russ and his therapy dog Benji made 647 visits to Mon Valley Hospital and personal care home in the area. He was a former member of the Washington Twp. Fire Company, Mon Valley Umpires Association and Mon Valley Football officials Association.  He retired after 42 1/2 years of service at the Monessen Coke Plant having worked for 4 different companies that owned the facility.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Stockton Peck; two step-sons, Robert Richard and wife Danielle of Belle Vernon,  Thomas Richard, one sister, Charlene Hare, one brother, Ken Peck; 5 grandchildren..

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 12 to 4 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City, PA.  www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 4:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Ryan Washabaugh  officiating.
