Samuel "Sweet Corn Sam" Babich, 90 of Daisytown, PA, passed away, Sunday January 5, 2014 in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp..

He was born February 14, 1923 in Jefferson Twp., PA, son of the late Charles Babich and the late Elizabeth Benyak Babich . Sam was a member of the Community Christ Church in Fayette City. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant. Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and also tending to the family farm in Daisytown

He is survived by four sons, Samuel C. Babich of Jefferson Twp.,Terence Babich and fiance Sharon at home, Ronald M. Babich and wife Connie of Daisytown and Timothy A Babich of Charleroi; two sisters, Madeline Zubricky and Elizabeth Bednar both of Jefferson Twp.;five grandsons, Jason, Jamie, Zachary, Holt Babich and Patrick Miller; great-grandson, Brayden Babich, great-granddaughter, Neriah Babich, great-granddaughter, Nadia Babich,

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Uchelvich Babich; seven brothers, Charles, John, Frank, Andrew, Michael, Paul and Joseph Babich; two sisters, Ellen Barota and Mary Blanchard.
