Stephen M Hela

Stephen M Hela, 76 of Jefferson Twp., Perryopolis, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Concordia of South Hills, surrounded by his family.

 He was born July 21, 1945 in Fayette City, Pa., son of  George Hela  and Elizabeth Brody Hela.

 He was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon and the American Slovanic Citizens Club of Fayette City.

He is survived by his wife, Georgetta McCrory Hela; daughter, Michelle Battistella and husband Gene of Moon Twp; grandson, Domenic Battistella; two sisters, Margaret Buchina and Betty Acklin.  Also survived by nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George Hela and John G. Hela.

Friends will be received Friday, July 8, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City, PA. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Fr. Stephen Gresh officiating.

Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
