Warren Maxen, 90 of Belle Vernon, PA, formerly of Brownstown, Fayette City PA, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 in his Residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 12, 1923 in Barbour Co, WV, son of of the lateThomas R Maxson and the late Lillian Fornash Maxson. He was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.,, Allenport Plant. Warren was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a former member of the Fayette City C & MA Church.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ethel Rhoades Maxen; son-in-law, David England of Monessen, and 2 special nephews, James Maxson and wife Jill of Elizabeth Twp. and Byrl "Sonny" Maxson and wife Edna Mae of Fayette City. Also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Sue England; seven brothers, Sanley, Robert, Bryl, Charles,Dana, Thomas and Richard Maxson and two sisters, Lucille Maxson and Betty Lanham.

Friends will be received Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 10 am to 12 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home,Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, Pa. 724-326-5621, www.eleymccroryfuneral home.com. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Mitch Wall officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
