Bert Lee Osborne, Sr

Bert Lee Osborne, Sr., 89 of Brownstown, Fayette City, PA, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence.

He was born October 1, 1928 in  Brownstown, Fayette City, PA, son of Luke Osborne  and Edna Muirhead Osborne.

He was a member of the Fayette City Alliance Church.  Bert was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant.  He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the BVA Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Shirley Gregor Osborne;  son, Bert Lee Osborne, Jr., daughter, Shawn Faye Staranko and son, Brad W Osborne all of Fayette City; one brother, Bill Gordon Osborne of Parma, OH.; two grandchildren, Marty E Doctorick and Paige Lee Doctorick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Richard and Gilbert Osborne; two sisters, Isabelle Gilbert and Jessie Hill.

Friends will be received Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Fayette City Alliance Church, 211 Connellsville St., Fayette City.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm in the church with Pastor Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Fayette City, PA.
