Charles “Charlie” Buzalka 80, of Jefferson Township passed away August 8, 2022. Born April 4, 1942, in
Floreffe, Pa. He was the son of the late Martin and Catherine Cibula Buzalka.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Chuck: brothers Martin, Steve, and sister
Dorothy. Charlie Buzalka was a member of the former Holy Spirit Church in Fayette City and St.
Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon.
Charlie started as a deck hand, then retired as a pilot from US Steel Clairton Works. He was an avid trap
shooter, and a member of Ruffs Dale, Rostraver, Clariton, and Star Junction gun clubs. He also enjoyed
hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Louise: Son Richard and wife Tracy of Carlisle:
Grandchildren Christopher, Dylan, Madison, and Nolan: Daughter-in-law Lisa, Sister-in-laws Bettie and
Donna and several nieces and nephews.
In honoring Charlie’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being held
under the direction of Eley & McCory Funeral Home in Fayette City.
