Stanley S Sobek, Jr.

Stanley S. Sobek, Jr. 71 of Jefferson Twp., Newell, PA, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born January 20, 1947 in Brownsville, PA, son of Stanley Sobek Sr. and Nina Mae Dando Sobek .

He was a member of Newell United Methodist Church, and worked as a Engineer  for AT& T for 50 years. He was a graduate of Penn Tech in Pittsburgh, Pa., and  an avid photographer, motorcyclist and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his son, Stephen A Sobek at home, daughter, Michelle Sobek of Annapolis, MD, sister, Suzanne Sobek Stapleton and husband William of Evans, GA., former wife, Judy Sobek of Glen Burnie, MD, niece, Sarah Sollie and nephew, Michael Stapleton both of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and Friends will be received Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA. www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating.

Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
