Stella Marie Povlish

Stella Marie Povlish, 88 of Gillespie, Fayette City, PA, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, Pa., surrounded by her family.

She was born June 29, 1930 in Perryopolis, PA, daughter of Joseph Dominiak  and Frances Burgundy Dominiak.

She was a member of  St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, Pa. 

Stella enjoyed baking, sewing and traveling with her family. Stella's family would like to Thank the staff's of Rostraver/West Newton Ambulance, Shadyside Hospital and Henry Clay Villa for their compassionate care.

She is survived  by her three children; daughter, Maryellen Gumro and husband Larry of Chalk Hill, Pa., son, John J Povlish and wife Lorraine of Belle Vernon  and daughter, Ramona Russo of West Mifflin, Pa.; sister, Frances Dzara of Perryopolis, Pa. four grandchildren; granddaughter, Erika Pesarsick & husband Jeff, grandson, Jason Povlish & wife Stacy, granddaughter, Heidi Coccari and granddaughter, Caitlin Russo; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband, John A Povlish on June 10, 2001; infant sister, Mary Dominiak and brother, Joseph Dominiak.

Family and Friends will be received Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home, Inc., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA.724-326-5621
Prayers of Transfer will held Thursday in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 in the St. John the Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis, Pa. with Rev. Fr. Alvin Carbungcal as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
